"Mark...Mark, are you praying?"

Like him or leave him, I could/would never liken myself to Mark Zuckerberg. But I do connect with this particular moment in 2010's The Social Network. If you've never seen the film, the quote I've used for this entry's title is from the moment Mark (Jesse Eisenberg) takes Facebook live for the first time, and he transitions into this extremely peaceful state, rocking back and forth. We don't know where his mind goes, whether he's in an extremely grateful, almost hypnotically contemplative state, or if he's simply gone to sleep, exhausted from the work he's put into the newly birthed Facebook. We don't know, but the moment is marked (no pun intended) by Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield) saying, "Mark...Mark, are you praying?"

But it's this moment that I completely and presently comprehend. That immensely satisfying feeling of having finished something, knowing the hard and sometimes frustrating work you've put into it. In my case, I've put in the work for some years now, adjusting the vision as it dictates. I've started and restarted several times over, and this is where things stand now. Again, I'm no Mark Zuckerberg (I don't need to be), but I'm proud that I've successfully updated and relaunched my website, now fully under the James Gideon Artistry brand, and with greater capability. Like I said, things have started and stopped several times over for a while now (this is about more than just the website), with my adding something new each iteration over...Creativity outside the realm of AI is not an easy thing. But here I am again, stepping out on myself, stepping out on the vision and talents God has given me. If you believe in something, then you have to put your faith into motion. I don't know if movie Mark Zuckerberg was praying, but I am. (lol)
